Why We Built This Site
Louisiana gives the public broad access to many court records through the Louisiana Public Records Law, including La. R.S. 44:1 et seq. The hard part is figuring out which office holds the file you want. In East Feliciana Parish, the Clerk of Court receives civil, family, probate, juvenile, adoption, criminal, traffic, marriage, mortgage, and conveyance filings, while the District Court handles the trial-court proceedings. The Sheriff's Office manages jail custody information and law-enforcement records. State systems such as Louisiana VINE, Louisiana DOC, and federal PACER may apply when a record has moved beyond the parish office. We pull together the contact details, search portals, fee schedules, and request steps for these sources into one place.
